First off Camp Pluckyfluff was AMAZING! Lexi was delightful as usual. Lessons were taught… lessons were learned… I met some great new friends! I will post some pictures early next week. 🙂
In other news, the voting for the Flock Giveaway from Juniper Moon Farm is over. I feel good about this though. I think I did all I could in the making of the video and in asking friends to vote. In fact, this contest has really awakened something in me. Before I made the video I was dealing with a lot of insecurities. I mean 6 months ago I couldn’t talk to new people. My voice and hands shook and I just wanted to shrivel up and go away. When the thought of making this video first came up I didn’t know if I could do it. But, I had to!!! I really felt I HAD to! So, with the help of my sister and my parents (and God) I got down to it. And really, let me tell you I don’t like having my picture taken! At all! Infact you can probably count the number of photos I am in with my two year old niece on two hands… and that is the only human I would take a picture with!!! So, I had to get over my fear of being immortalized. I had to show myself inside and out! This was huge! I had a few other hurdles I overcame too. I had never even used a video camera (besides the one on my phone) let alone used movie making software. And, I did it! Start to finish! Through this process I also learned a lot about the generosity of people. Not only Susie of Juniper Moon Farm but friends and family and even people who I have never met! They took time out of thier day to watch my video AND to vote AND to repost/twitter/email AND to leave lovely comments… all for little ol’ me. So, to say that I am overwhelmed is not enough. I am grateful, humbled and honored to know you! Thank you again!
